Develop a common vision for 2014

A series of facilitated workshops were held to develop possible future scenarios using constructionism and constructivism methodologies.  Lego models of different futures were built and used as the platform for discussion.

In the process “Vision 2014” was refined and possible actions for going forward were developed.  The final Lego model was used to communicate the discussion with other stakeholders and staff members which allowed them to engage at a deep and complex level with the outcomes.

The DBSA 2008 Infrastructure Barometer

Sense2Solve assisted with the development of different scenarios for the various chapters in the 2008 Infrastructure Barometer publication.
A facilitated ideation workshop was used to develop and create meaningful titles for each of these scenarios. Participants had to tap into their creative thinking by using a variety of input materials. These titles were used in the final publication.

Innovation and entrepreneurship in the DBSA

Sense2Solve assisted with the development of the initial innovation framework and approach for the DBSA. Thirty Innovation & Entrepreneurship Champions were selected to undergo intensive creativity and innovation training where they were exposed to problem solving, creativity and facilitation tools and techniques.

The champions developed a model for innovation within the context of the DBSA and planned their first year activities and outcomes using the tools and techniques. These champions are now able to facilitate problem solving as well as ideation workshops with focused outcomes. They are able to use and apply all the tools and techniques, enabling them to challenge thinking and introduce new ideas and solutions.

Sense2Solve will again be involved in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Week  15-19 November 2010 which is hosted by the DBSA.
